Rebecca is the founder and director of Open Doors for Teens. She brings a deep love and passion for the Earth, for learning, and for creative expression. Rebecca holds a B.S. in Natural Resources from the University of Michigan, and a Master in the Art of Teaching from Aquinas College. She has worked as a Naturalist, a mother, and a public school teacher.
Jacob joined Open Doors as an intern and has since transitioned into the role of Assistant Director. Jacob received his B.A. in Political Science and Geography at Aquinas College and has experience conducting and presenting analysis of social, spatial, and power dynamics pertaining to educational organizations. Jacob leads the ever-popular Powerful Possibilities class, Cultural Inquiries, and Spanish. He has also taught Big History, the history of the universe from the Big Bang until now.
